The facade was designed using scripting software that translated a photograph into an abstract set of perforations. The panels were then “V-grooved” to allow for customizable openings adding a dynamic element to the design . The aesthetic feel of the project draws from traditional “papel picado” used in traditional Mexican celebrations .
The custom steel stair case was f abricated using 2x8 tube steel, 3/8” th. steel plate and 2”x1/4” steel angle.
The wooden steps and flooring were fabricated by The Future Primitive at a cooperative wood shop located in Highland Park, CA. from re-purposed wood.
The CSU East Bay project consists of an aluminum perforated panel system around the exterior of the campus gymnasium. I assisted in detailing & developing shop drawings for Architect's approval. I prepared drawings for fabrication and managed the fabrication process for over 200 unique panels.

Signage fabrication for "Knives Out" hair salon in Los Angeles. The water jet cut piece is 1/4" Th. aluminum with a matte black powder coat.
Custom aluminum sliding doors for Jaleo Restaurant in Las Vegas. Created shop drawings and coordinated with designers and lead Engineer to convert digital artwork into fabricated panel.
